The Civil Engineering Department at Afyon Kocatepe University was established in 2002 within the Faculty of Engineering and began admitting students in the 2011–2012 academic year.
The academic staff of our department is organized under six main divisions:

Efforts are ongoing to develop laboratories for each of these divisions.
As of September 2024, our department has a total of 14 faculty members (including 7 Professors, 2 Associate Professors, and 5 Doctor Faculty Members) and 5 research assistants. In addition to the academic staff, 2 technicians serve the department.
Since the 2012–2013 academic year, the department has also been offering graduate education simultaneously with undergraduate programs.
